A Development Agent is an independent contractor who has an agreement to develop and support a specified number of SUBWAY® restaurants within a specified geographic territory. The Development Agent’s duties include:

1. The recruitment of new franchise owners
2. Assistance to franchise owners in the area of site selection
3. Assistance to franchise owners with lease negotiation
4. Assistance to franchise owners with construction and opening of the restaurant
5. Providing franchise owners with ongoing operational support

As compensation, the Development Agent will receive a portion of all franchise fees and up to1/3 of the royalties collected from the stores in his or her territory.
